My Current Car History
1994 1st Car : Austin Mini Metro 1.3L , Made in 1986 , Navy Blue
Hmmm... at the time, the best thing since sliced bread, but in retrospect very
unreliable due to some spongey substance found in the Fuel tank which used to clog
up the Carb... so overtaking and then suddenly losing all power could be an interesting
experience ! This car was most definitely No.1 on the AA's hit list.. I had to join
the RAC in the end to cover my tracks.
1996 2nd Car : Vauxhall Tigra 1.6i , Made in 1996 , Black
Interest Free Credit ? ah you mean a FREE Car fantastic !, we all learn something from
Credit Agreements... all I learnt was that I needed to pay it off and get an even better
car.. ( oops )
A Great Car on the outside, not so great on the inside, full of features and not too bad
at 106BHP..
1999 3rd Car : Lotus Elise 1.8 (111) , Made in 1999 , Azure Blue
The Best Car, unfortunately it taught me what being in Real Debt was all about, a valuable
lesson in Life...
Fantastic subline Porformance, handling, Fun ! ( with a capital F ), it was a very Dark day
when I lost control on a wet road travelling to a friends house. Three complete 360's..
followed by a hit at the back from a Rusty old Fiat Uno, ( Just before I pulled off after
the spin ! ) BUY ONE if you get a chance but watch WET ROAD CONDITIONS they are FATAL..
Insurance Group 20 and 9 points on my license I had to wave goodbye to this one, after
15,000 miles and 11 months of ownership..
2000 4th Car : Renault Clio RT , Made in 1993 , Black.. No Cyan !!
This Car I'd rather leave out of the List, I was desperate to buy a car after being without
one for 2 months after selling the Lotus. Advertised by a work collegue as a Black Car it
turned out to be Blue, had a Broken Automatic Gear Box and more problems and damaged panels
then you could possibly imagine... Also my 1st and last experience of an Automatic Car
2001 5th Car : Citroen Saxo VTS , Made in 2000 , Black
Thank You Citroen, This is a complete opposite of the Tigra, Average looking on the outside
a complete power house on the inside. fun again ( but not with a capital f )... Brilliant
pick up from 4000 rpm onwards... Insurance group 14 ( erk ) lucky I got free insurance eh ?
